Unpack the tent and lay it on your chosen ground. Connect the poles and thread through the tent. Use pegs to secure it and add the rain fly if needed. Make sure the tent door is opposite the wind direction to prevent it from blowing open.

Find a safe spot away from your tent. Clear away any flammable materials. Create a pit, surround it with rocks for containment. Gather wood, start the fire using a fire starter or matches. Make sure to extinguish the fire fully before leaving or sleeping.
